It is reported that a Chinese investor is on the verge of acquiring 80% of the French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice, according to the French newspaper L’Équipe.
As stated in a recent report, “the entourage of certain players have been informed that a deal is on the verge of being agreed, that would see OGC Nice President Jean Pierre Rivère remain in charge and with a 20% stake, conceding a 30% stake”.
But there has been no official comment in response to this story as of now. No more details have been revealed, either.
OGC Nice is a French association soccer club based in Nice. The club was founded in 1904 and currently plays in Ligue 1, the top-tier of French soccer. Nice play their home matches at the Allianz Riviera. The club has won Ligue 1 four times and the Coupe de France three times.
