Hainan Basketball Association established in Haikou

On 21st May past, the Hainan Basketball Association(HBA) was established at Haikou Stadium.

It is reported that the HBA will play an important part in the following  affairs. Firstly, a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between basketball associations on the Mainland, in Taiwan and in Hong Kong to jointly build an International Basketball Academy and International Basketball Training Camp in Hainan. Secondly, a written proposal will be signed between Basketball Associations in the three places to start a “City Basketball League.” Thirdly, Haikou Stadium is to be made the home court for Bayi Fubang Basketball Club in the CBA.

Founded in 2006 Bayi Fubang Basketball Club is a historical CBA member that won many titles and were the first team to be champions of the CBA eight times. Bayi also fostered many excellent players and famous trainers for China.

There was a game between Bayi Fubang Basketball Club and Ricky Basketball Club on 23rd May in Sanya. Ricky Basketball Club is on the top list of the Southern Kentucky Youth Basketball League. The competition ended with a Bayi victory on a final score of 100：77.
