Luneng Sports, a subsidiary of Shandong-based Luneng Group, has extended its sponsorship agreement to continue their branding presence at the 2016 ITTF WJC Luneng Sports Australian Junior & Cadet Open, according to Sina, one of China’s leading news portals.
As stated in an official report, this event will be held in Tweed Heads, Australia from 5th-8th April. Players from Luneng Table Tennis Club will compete in the tournament.
Luneng, noted for its Luneng Mount Taishan Football Club and Luneng Table Tennis Club, has been an active player in the Chinese sports industry for some time. It became involved in the Australian tournament in 2015.
Luneng Table Tennis Club was founded in 2000, and subsequently a training base was set up in Qingdao to bring in elite athletes under the age of 13. In 2001, Luneng established a table tennis school in Weifang, Shandong.
