FFF and Chinese FA sign collaboration agreement

The governing body of association football in France, Fédération Française de Football (FFF) and the Chinese Football Association (CFA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the FIFA Extraordinary General Meeting held on the evening of February 26 in Zurich Harlan Stadium where Gianni Infantino was elected as FIFA’s new president.

The three-year agreement, stamped by French Football Federation chief Noel Le Graet and Zhang Jian, Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the CFA, aims to reinforce the CFA’s expertise in the football technical area and help Chinese football develop to its full potential.

The MoU is set to create synergies with the national reform plan for football announced by the Chinese government earlier last year.

Noel Le Graet said during his meeting with Zhang Jian, “As the only country which has been awarded the rights to stage the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 2016 and FIFA Confederations Cup in recent times, France has demonstrated its strength as a football power to the whole world. We also have a well-established youth football training system that enables us to produce many top-class players. Against the background of the general overhaul of Chinese football, China needs to lay a solid foundation for youth football development and bring in advanced football techniques.”
