Chinese multinational white goods and electronics manufacturer Hisense has become the official partner of the Chinese gymnastics team after the two sides signed a partnership deal on December 24.
Under the partnership, Hisense’s range of products such as TVs, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines and mobile phones will receive huge exposure and brand promotion, benefiting from the Chinese team’s participation in the 2016 Rio Games.
Hisense Vice President, Cheng Kaixun, said, “gymnastics is one of the most important sports in multi-sports events like the Olympic Games and Asian Games. It is also the sport with the best chance for China to win gold medals. As the best-selling Chinese TV brand for 12 years, Hisense shares the same spirit and values as Chinese gymnastics, so we match perfectly.”
Luo Chaoyi, President of the Chinese Gymnastics Association (CGA) also echoed that, “Hisense and Chinese gymnastics share the same long-term commitment, that is to deliver the Chinese spirit and values to the rest of the world.”
According to industry sources, apart from the deal with Chinese gymnastics, Hisense has also commenced talks with other sports programs.
