SPORTACCORD 2024 INSIGHTS: Sport’s Perfect Storm

The Happy Gym press conference and sponsorship signing ceremony was held yesterday in Beijing. Organized by the gymnastics center of the General Administration of Sport, the ceremony was attended by executives and sports officers. Yang Wei, the promotion ambassador and former Olympic gymnastics champion, together with his son Yang Yangyang, were also in attendance at the press conference.
Luo Chaoyi, director of the center, said in his keynote speech that the Happy Gym project differentiates itself from other projects in terms of entertainment, diversification and participation. It is aimed to promote the expansion of gymnastics and gymnastic clubs in China. The project was initiated in 2014. As of now, there are around 20 Happy Gym clubs across the country.
The ceremony also saw the project operator sign sponsorship deals with three Chinese sporting equipment companies namely Shandong Kangnas, Taishan Sports and Zhejiang Sporting Goods Company. According to the deals, the sponsors will provide the project with sports equipment at a 40% discount and provide sporting facilities to some kindergartens andschools.
In addition, the state gym center has agreed to strike a strategic partnership deal with the China Women Activity Center and the Happy Gym Investment Company. The three sides will strive for the development of gymnastics in China.
