After franchising four youth football training schools in Luoyang, Henan Province, in partnership with the local education bureau, the Serie A side AC Milan continues to expand its operations in China.
AC Milan Junior Camp China signed an agreement with local sports officials in Yuhong District, Shenyang, to launch a new training base in the area, making it the first youth football training base in Northeast China incorporating the training system of AC Milan.
In a bid to enhance their influence in China and seize the opportunity generated by the Chinese sports reform plan, AC Milan have been actively involved in Chinese football from early this year.
The Chinese central government launched this plan, with the aims of revitalizing the Chinese sports industry and developing it into a 5 trillion yuan business.
Early in May, AC Milan announced a collaboration with China campus football. The plan is that Milan will send 350 coaches to 200 school in 20 Chinese cities over the next three years. Apart from teaching 11,200 students in Chinese schools, the coaches are going to train 1600 local teachers. These coaches will be bringing the AC Milan textbook to China.
