CCTV, the program producers of” Who is the King“ are set to jointly launch a 10-day winter camp at Premier League giants Manchester City FC(MCFC) with their partners,a Beijing-based soccer education provider.
The winter camp, which will kick off during the winter vacation later this year, will select 10 Chinese junior players to go on a 10-day trip to the UK for free, the highlight of which will be a visit to Manchester City FC.
These players will visit MCFC and attend a live game at the Etihad Stadium. Additionally, these Chinese juniors will have the opportunity to participate in training sessions under the guidance of club coaches who specialise in youth training.
The organizers have set up an online poll to decide which candidates will take part in the winter camp. Sun Jihai, the brand ambassador of Man City in China, has announced 4 selected players from the final of “Who is the King” while the rest of the places are yet to be voted on.
In an effort to promote the trip, the organizers will invite a domestic soccer star to lead the team. A documentary of the trip will also be made.
