2016 Rio Olympic Games will open in 9 months. Tencent Sports, the new rightholder of NBA in China, is going to deliver the introduction seminar in Beijing on October 29th. During the meeting, Tencent will demonstrate their strategy in sports, particularly Rio Olympic Games, and show their brand new idea of “Internet+”.
As one of the “BAT”, Tencent cooperated with several brands with 2014 FIFA World Cup and NBA from this season. The brands got tailormade promotion on the platform of Tencent.
Tencent has purchased the broadcast right of NBA, Premier League, UEFA Champions League, NFL and CBA. Now Tencent is trying to build new “ecosystem” with their online platform. On the Sportel, Tencent showed their plan in 2016.
On the introduction seminar, the Brazil’s ambassador to China, the official of General Administration of Sport and several Chinese sports stars will also attend. In 2014, Tencent organized a team to visit in Brazil during the FIFA World Cup.
