The Hong Kong Broadband Network’s partner Now TV has reached an agreement with Letv Sports to air the English Premier League in the city for the next three seasons.
The deal for the Premier League broadcast was part of a memorandum of understanding signed by HKBN and Letv to cooperate in the bundle selling of the latter’s online media content, entertainment and sports packages which includes the Premier League, according to the Hong Kong newspaper The Standard.
The sides did not reveal any details of the partnership in the statement but claimed they were positively focusing on detailed discussions.
Now TV added they would publish the broadcast schedule of the English Premier League in the near future.
Now TV is the current broadcaster of the Premier League in Hong Kong and lost out to Letv Sports earlier this month in the bidding rights to screen the event in the city for the next three seasons.
