Letv Sports announces that they have sealed a 3-year deal for the rights to broadcast the Premier League in Hong Kong from 2016/2017 season in a media press conference held in the city on Tuesday.
The emerging online streamer will replace Pacific Century CyberWorks (PCCW) to exclusively live screen all 380 Premier League matches in Hong Kong via its various channels every season from 2016/2017 until 2018/2019 season.
Letv Sports promises to present the Premier League matches with 4K technology in order to engage the audience together with efforts to provide commentaries of English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Lei Zhenjian, CEO of Letv Sports, commented that “as the new media partner of Premier League in mainland China, Letv Sports has been enjoying the partnership in the past few years.”
Additionally, based on that, Letv Sports and the Premier League will enhance the broadcast into a newly high level, Lei added.
The online sports broadcaster has spent heavily in rights of various sports events in the past few month and is one of the current platforms for users in Mainland China to watch the Premier League.
