As one of the top 3 professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) events in the USA, World Series of Fighting (WSOF) held a press conference on July 10 in Beijing announcing its expansion into the Chinese market.
Originated from the United States, which has a reputation as a hotbed of world-renowned fighting events, WSOF has grown into a first-class brand throughout the world. China is also renowned for some fighting events, including the domestic brand Kunlun Fight. With WSOF’s landing in China, Shaun White, chief executive of WSOF Asia, believed that the event would achieve good results in China in a short time.
“WSOF will spare no efforts in providing an open platform for international cultural and sports exchanges. It is the first step for WSOF’s global expansion to bring the world’s best MMA event to China,” Shaun said.
According to some sources, the newly formed company WSOF China which is controlled by WSOF Asia and other two companies, will be fully responsible for the daily operation of the company and the event’s promotion in the Chinese market, including in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
