FC Schalke 04 to play in China this summer

Brazil is currently preparing to host the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games. However, for a country where football is the most popular sport and passionate Brazilian fans often refer to themselves as "o País do Futebol" or “the country of football", Brazil show less passion for other sports, especially, when we are talking about sports like badminton.
As the superpower in world badminton, China has more experience in that field. China are the most successful badminton team in history, winning the most medals at the Olympics and both winning and hosting the Sudirman Cup, Thomas and Uber Cups, and the 2008 Beijing Olympics. For Brazil to improve in the sport and increase its popularity in Brazil, they need to establish a partnership with China badminton. This partnership has begun with the mascot design for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Brazil will make its first ever appearance in the sport of badminton at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics. It’s one of the few sports that already has its own mascot, a Chinese-Brazilian character, whose name will be chosen by public vote to help build interest in a sport that is relatively unknown in the football-crazy nation of Brazil.
