Recently, LeTV Sports announced that they had signed an exclusive cooperation deal with Amaury Sports Organisation to pick up the broadcast rights to the Tour de France covering the next three years. Fans will be able to watch the cycling event via PC, PAD, Superphone and LeTV Sports Super TV platforms.
To date, LeTV Sports has obtained media rights to 21 cycling events, 20 of which LeTV Sports were granted sole exclusivity within the Chinese market.
The Tour de France is an annual multiple stage bicycle race primarily held in France, which is currently run by the Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O). The A.S.O is part of the French media group, EPA (Éditions Philippe Amaury). It organizes blue-ribbon sporting events such as the Tour de France, Vuelta a España, the Paris–Nice professional cycle road races and also the Dakar Rally. The company's internal expertise covers the entire range of activities required to organize and market sporting competitions and guarantee their coverage in the media.
