According to Xinhua News Agency, STIGA, the world's leading table tennis gear and wear company, launched its 11th season for Chinese amateur players on June 7 (Beijing Time).
The 2015 STIGA Table Tennis Tour features six stops in major Chinese cities, namely Beijing (June), Changchun (July), Chengdu (August), Daqing (September), Shanghai (October) and Shenzhen (November).
The Beijing event will take place on June 27-28 at the Beijing University Stadium which had hosted the 2008 Olympic table tennis tournament.
At the 2015 launch ceremony, China's top coach Li Sun explained table tennis skills and tactics to players and spectators.
Li, whose students include Wang Nan, Zhang Yining and Li Xiaoxia, who all have completed a clean sweep of Olympic, world championships and World Cup singles titles, is known as a "Grand Slam coach" or "Table Tennis Tactician" in China.
The ceremony also included a team competition which was won by the Beijing media team spearheaded by Zhou Henan.
