Genoa are attracting interest from a consortium in China, as they become the latest club to seek investment from abroad.
President Enrico Preziosi is expected to host Taiwan-based entrepreneur Michael Lee in the directors box of the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, as Genoa take on Cesena in Serie A on Sunday.
Lee is a member of the China-based Global Ocean group and has been looking to expand the brand into Europe, with the Grifone being marked out as a potential investment opportunity.
According to Tuttosport, negotiations are yet to begin, although they are set to be scheduled. Genoa are thought to be keen to bring in investment in the hope of building on what has been a solid season.
It would seem that the intention from Preziosi is to bring in investment, rather than sell the club.
Genoa are not the only club to be attracting investment from the Far East, with AC Milan linked with a Chinese takeover in recent weeks.
