Yutang Sports Appointed as the Official Media Partner of the Future of Sport

It is the Day 3 at Global Sports Week Paris and the first FULL day of programming across the three channels of Global Sports Week – GSWArena, GSWVillage and GSWPro – included live link-ups from the central studio at the heart of the Eiffel Tower from Beijing, Milan and Los Angeles.

The day’s highlights included:
Adidas’ Managing Director France Mathieu Sidokpohou announced a five-year, pan-European project addressing adidas’ Global Purpose pillar of Breaking Barriers for Girls. The project aims to increase girls’ participation in sport by building the capacity of the sport-for-good ecosystem to better serve women and girls, as well as to provide inspiration for girls to become their best selves. adidas will work with 15 non-profit sport for good organisations across different regions of Europe across the five years, improving their capacity and capability to serve women and girls in their communities in order to empower 100+ Breaking Barriers Champions and engage with 50,000+ female participants.
Gabriela Ramos, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Science, launched two new tools from UNESCO to support transformative change at a policy level and in the lives of people. The first is a toolkit to empower young people to influence physical education policy and the second is a “how to” for policy makers to implement the change in national systems.
Paris 2024 and AFD (L’Agence Française de Développement) marked the one-year anniversary of their agreement, signed at Global Sports Week in 2020, to cooperate on sports and development projects across a number of countries, aligning the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Le Tremplin Invest Finals – Europe’s biggest event connecting investors with sportstech start-ups, revealed 14 most promising sportstech start-ups (7 French and 7 international), which qualified through a national competition in partnership with local incubators.
