The 10th Chinese Sports Marketing Forum (CSMF) was held in Nanjing this weekend, starting from Saturday, and will end today.
This is the tenth forum since 2005 when the forum was established. It was regarded as the World Economic Forum of Chinese sports industry.
There are 2,000 delegates from 25 provinces and autonomous regions across the country attending the forum, and are from different business areas, including businessmen, academics, media people, and governmental staffs, according to a report of Jinling Wanbao.
The theme of this year is the commencement of the 5 trillion yuan market of Chinese sports industry, and develops around two subjects. One subject is the 46 Document released by the State Council in October of 2014 to drive development of the sports industry and related consumptions. The other one is the recently announced reform plan for Chinese football.
The main conference had three topics. The first one, “reform”, started from football and expanded to the overall reform of the industry. The second one, “change”, was about the ongoing changes and how to embrace it. The last one, “opportunity”, was largely about investment chances and had famous guests such as Qiu Changheng, the vice president of Alibaba.
