On September 16, Xinjiang Yilite Industry and Guanghui Group held a signing ceremony in Cocodala, where the two parties signed an agreement, making Yilite the title sponsor to Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers men’s basketball club.
For the 2019-20 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) season, Xinjiang Flying Tigers will play under the name “Yilite", meaning that Yilite will be able to promote its products and brand to the world through the CBA with the Flying Tigers players wearing jerseys carrying name of Yilite.
Based in Yili, Xinjiang, Yilite Industry is a modern enterprise that does business in food processing, bioengineering, finance and securities, printing, real estate, natural gas supply, coal, logistics, hotel and tourism services, but its main business is ‘Yili’, a liquor brand hailed as the ‘best spirit’ in Xinjiang.
Co-founded by Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Sports Bureau and Xinjiang Guanghui Group, Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers basketball club is the only professional basketball club in northwest China, and has become one of the most influential clubs in the CBA. The club has reached the CBA Finals 6 times and taken home the title once.
