Future of Sport: A Global Sports Week x Viva Technology Collaboration, Will Open in June 14

On August 27, the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) announced that the Grand Finals of the 2019 ITTF World Tour will be played in Zhengzhou, China, between December 12-15.
The 2019 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals are especially important in that the 4 best mixed doubles pairs in this year’s Finals will automatically receive their ticket to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
“We are delighted to be staging the 2019 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals in China. Today’s announcement is the fruit of a flourishing partnership between the ITTF and CTTA (Chinese Table Tennis Association), with both parties fully committed to taking the sport of table tennis to unprecedented heights.” said Steve Dainton, CEO of the ITTF.
The ITTF President Thomas Weikert expressed his high hopes of the 2019 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals: “ I would like to thank President Liu Guoliang for his continued efforts and contributions to international table tennis. We are confident that the 2019 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals in China will be the best yet in the history of our sport.”
As the capital city of Henan Province, Zhengzhou, a populous city located in Middle China, is geographically important and has railways that lead to different parts of China.
