The Education Department of Jiangsu Province in China has joined forces with the sports apparel and footwear manufacturer Kelme (China) Co., Ltd. to develop youth football and campus football education in Jiangsu.
The partnership launching ceremony took place on December 27 in Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu. The strategic partnership between the two sides signals that the involvement of private sectors and social strengths in the development of youth and campus football in Jiangsu has entered a new phase.
Under the partnership, Kelme will supply football equipment to projects such as campus football leagues, summer football camps and coach training.
Currently, there are 1710 specialized campus football schools certified by the Ministry of Education of China, 8 experimental campus football counties/cities/districts, 1 experimental campus football reform area (Nantong city) and 219 specialized provincial football kindergartens. During the past 12 months more than 1.1m participated in campus related football activities.
