Meten, the Chinese education organization, partnered with Serie A side Internazionale Milano as an official Chinese regional sponsor on July 13. The two parties held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony at the JW Marriott hotel in Shenzhen. During the ceremony, Meten also introduced its brand ambassador, football legend Lothar Matthäus.
Meten is an education organization that focuses mainly on language training and overseas studies. It includes several different departments: Meten English, Meten Junior English, Meten Exams for Overseas Studies, Meten Application for Overseas Studies, Meten International High School and its online English learning platform, Likeshuo.
Officially founded in 2006 as Meten English, the institution had a brand strategy upgrade in 2017 transforming itself into an international education brand. The company has its headquarters in Shenzhen, Beijing and Los Angeles according to online information claiming it covers 14 provinces and 27 cities.
Under the partnership with Inter Milan, Meten will organize global classroom activities including Inter Milan legends classes, FIFA World Player football competitions, match viewing parties with player legends, to enable students to communicate better, get the chance to play with some of the world’s top football players and to understand more about football. Meten English, Meten Exams for Overseas Studies, Meten Junior English and other training/services will benefit from these activities.
There was no disclosure as to the duration and fees of the partnerships.
