Asics Teams up with China Tennis Champ Zhang Shuai

On July 2, ASICS announced a partnership with China’s top women’s tennis player, Zhang Shuai, also ranked 30th overall by the WTA. Zhang is the first female player from China to sign with the brand.

Zhang makes her debut as the brand’s Sponsored Athlete at Wimbledon 2018, wearing the Gel-Cool Dress and Gel-Cool Tank/Skort combo, all in white. Her footwear will be Asics Gel-Resolution 7 Grass, designed to offer stability and comfort on the court.

“I am excited to be an official part of Team ASICS. I have always loved the brand’s footwear because it is so comfortable and helps me move faster. As the first female tennis player from China to sign with the brand, I also have the great opportunity to support the growth of tennis not only in China, but around the world,” said Zhang Shuai.

Zhang will join tennis-related events to expand the brand’s business in the regions of Asia and the United States.
