Alisports, the sports arm of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, has signed a strategic partnership with the International Health, Wellness and Fitness Expo (IWF), which kicked off in Shanghai on March 14, 2018.
The two sides hope that they can turn the IWF into a fitness carnival for the industry and enthusiasts, along with announcing the start of the online fitness festival on March 21.
The 321 Fitness Festival, which launched last year, aims to impress people with ideas of fitness, health and happiness. At this year’s Festival, Alisports has plans to provide products for outdoor sports fans as well as give participants interesting experiences with their AR technology and face recognition.
In addition to this, the sports company will also offer online fitness courses with the support of more than 15,000 professional trainers. As Zhang Dazhong, founder and CEO of Alisports, said, “Fitness is the first step of sports that are open to all common people. We have accumulated experiences since we launched the Festival last year, and we will work together with the IWF to give fans more premium experiences.”
The IWF Shanghai 2018 is the 5th edition of the event and has become one of the most popular fitness expos in China.
