China-based QG Reapers eSports Club has reached a strategic cooperation with Shandong Lanxiang Vocational School, according to an official Sina Weibo post by the club.
Under the cooperation, QG has called its youth training base, Lanxiang eSports Academy, and will provide training, internships and employment resources to the Academy. The two sides aim to create a professional youth training platform for Chinese youngsters.
Lanxiang has launched a three-year eSports program, aimed at helping students with zero knowledge about the e-sports industry to become gamers, officials or eSports marketing specialists.
OG is one of the most popular eSports clubs in China. Its King of Glory division, QGhappy, is the only eSports club that has won both the 2017 King Pro League and the 2017 King Champion Cup titles.
According to a report by Chinese internet giant Tencent, China’s eSports industry engaged 170 million users in 2016 and that number could reach 220 million in 2017.
