December 4, Barcelona: The high school affiliated to Renmin University of China (RDFZ) has signed a partnership agreement with Spanish school, Hamelin-Laie International School, which will allow RDFZ to train their young players using the Spanish youth football training system.
In late October, RDFZ worked together with Club de Futbol Reus Deportiu (S.A.D.) and Hamelin-Laie International School to launch a 2-month football training project. Twenty five members from RDFZ’s football club, the first ever football club owned by a high school in China have arrived in Barcelona to take part in this project. RDFZ have also sent its teachers to Barcelona along with those 25 players in order to maintain the “classroom study” for those students.
According to RDFZ’s headmaster Zhai Xiaoning, during the 2 months, these 25 players will receive football skills training led by S.A.D’s youth training coaches and cultural education courses offered by RDFZ’s teachers. Additionally, various friendly matches will also be arranged for them to play against local junior football teams in Barcelona.
