This year, several European football teams expressed New Year greetings to the Chinese market, including Rome, Real Madrid, Bayern, etc.
Roma printed this Chinese sentence “wish you a happy Lunar New Year in advance” on jerseys. They wore this jersey in a game against Parma on Feb 15.

Real Madrid players wrote “Happy Year of Sheep” using traditional Chinese calligraphy and displayed them.

Bayern recorded a video clip wishing happy Chinese New Year to fans. Three players said New Year greetings in Mandarin.

What’s more, on a game against Hamburg on Feb. 14, Bayern displayed on one of its pitch perimeters in Chinese that “Bayern and CCTV-5 ‘World Football’ wish you a happy Year of Sheep”.

On Feb. 11, Paris Saint Germain published a clip wishing Chinese people happy new year. Five stars said greetings in Chinese.

In addition to the above examples, many other football clubs sent their greetings through social media in China, such as Manchester City and Ligue 1.
