August 11: Chinese stadium builder Lander Sports, together with the Zhejiang Sports Authority, has set up Zhejiang Women’s Ice Hockey Team and Zhejiang Women’s Curling Team.
This is the first time for Zhengjiang to establish winter sports teams. According to reports, the newly-established teams have appointed Lander Sports as their exclusive business development and promotion partner.
The sports company will obtain privileges to use the logos of Lander Sports and Lander Winter Sports for related marketing campaigns and charity activities.
The two women’s teams are expected to participate in more than two national games and actively prepare for the 2020 Inner Mongolia National Winter Games. At the same time, the teams will help Zhejiang Province in talent training, facility construction, introduction of international events and development of mass participation events.
On the same day, Lander Sports signed up an agreement deal with Harbin Sports University, which will see the university provide technology and theory support for Lander Sports in the development of winter sports.
Early in April, 2016, Lander Sports signed a strategic agreement with the Curling Champions Tour (CCT) China GmbH Switzerland to promote winter sports throughout China.
