Premier League outfit Arsenal has announced an expansion of its commercial relationship with London-listed Chinese company BNN Technology.
Under this new deal, the Chinese company will be licensed as Arsenal’s Official Tmall Retail Partner and will help the leading European football club create and operate its own Tmall online store in China.
The Arsenal Tmall store, which is to be operated by BNN’s technology partner Harbin Tengcai, will sell official Arsenal branded merchandise, including the new 2017/18 replica kit and training wear designed and manufactured by PUMA.
According to an official statement, BNN will take an 80% share of all revenues and earnings from the store, while the remainder will be distributed to its Chinese partner.
At the same time, BNN will also deliver unique content, develop coaching programmes and provide VIP experiences to Chinese fans. For example, viewers in China will be able to live stream Arsenal games through a number of online channels including the Xinhua News Mobile App.
