On March 27, Imagine China filed another new lawsuit on rights protection against Osports (Beijing) Culture Media Co. Ltd. (Osports). Osports is accused of false publicity in the name of the CSL official photo agency, sending its staff as fake media reporters and entering the media area of stadiums. That severely damages the commercial profitability of Imagine China as the CSL official photo agency.
Imagine China signed a 3-year cooperation contract valued at more than ten million Yuan with CSL CO. Ltd. As a result it gained the rights and interests as CSL official and exclusive photo agency from 2017 to 2019. According to the terms of the contract, Imagine China is exclusively entitled to be given the official photo shooting rights in the designated areas on the field.
Imagine China claims that a lot of commercial opportunities have been lost and huge commercial costs can’t be recovered due to Osports’ illegitimate competition and, in doing so, misleading the public.
It is known that this case has been submitted to Beijing Haidian District Court and the court has accepted it.
