The General Administration of sports signed a deal on promoting the development of sports tourism with the National Tourism Administration at the conference of the 2016 China National Tourism Investment Symposium, which was held in the spring city, Jinan, Shandong province on 15th May.
The purpose of this conference is to promote the co-operation of the sports and tourism industries.
Jianzhong Feng, deputy director of the General Administration of Sports of China, attended and delivered a speech. He stressed that sports tourism as a new form of entertainment has become a new consumption hotspot. He also gave full backing to the development of sports tourism innovative integration in the next five years.
He also said that he would work with tourism, finance and other related departments to promote the emerging sports tourism market, and economic restructuring and accelerate modernization.
