According to a Xinhua report, the Dutch giants AFC Ajax have announced a tour to China with a close to full strength squad. The tour will start in May after the 2015/2016 football season ends. Arek Milik may be absent, due to his preparing for the Euro 2016 with Poland.
The Amsterdam team are going to be in Beijing and Shenyang from May 13-19. Their schedule will include a friendly game against the Chinese Super League club Liaoning Whowin FC in Shenyang on May 18. In addition, they have youth training and business plans in both cities.
"It is a long-cherished wish to go to China with Ajax," said Edwin van der Sar, Ajax’s marketing director, "After our Asian trip to Indonesia in 2014, we will now visit China. It's good for Ajax to be internationally visible with this tour.”
"It will be a nice experience for players and staff and, of course, China is home to Ajax sponsors CST, Huawei, Sengled and Le Sports and an important market for our sponsors Adidas and Mercedes." he added.
