When New tournaments Meets New Tech, the Old Friend of Football Has New Stories

Banana Plan, an entertainment and sports company established by Chinese magnate Wang Sicong in September, announced this morning (December 22) that the company has hired former CCTV sports presenter Duan Xuan as the new CEO of Banana Sports.
The appointment will see Duan Xuan be responsible for the operation and management of Banana Sports which covers both traditional sports and E-sports.
“Banana Sports is a brand-new startup company, and I myself am prepared to meet the challenge ahead”, said Duan Xuan, who was previously a renowned sports presenter at CCTV 5.
“(In the meantime), I hope more young people who love sport and have dreams can join us”, the 43 years old added.
In an official announcement, Banana Plan revealed that both traditional sports and e-sports will play big roles as part of the company’s future plans. Accordingly, Duan Xuan, with his rich experience in both areas, is the best candidate for the position.
