China UnionPay will partner with Shanghai Masters as its premium sponsor through 2015 to 2017. Following the 3-year deal recently secured with China Open, this is China UnionPay’s another move in sponsoring top-level tennis tournaments in China.
China UnionPay has been the exclusive payment sponsor for Shanghai Masters since 2012. As always, card holders (card number begins with 62) can enjoy 10 percent discount for tickets. Other than a range of payment services, China UnionPay is also providing parking coupons, gifts bearing players’ autographs, route directions, discounts for restaurants and other shopping malls for card holders via the tennis tournament page of the China UnionPay mobile apps.
The Shanghai Masters is chronologically the eighth out of nine ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour season, and is the only one played outside of Europe and North America.
