PPTV Sports, a leading online sports streaming platform in China, has agreed a three-year broadcast deal to show Dutch Eredivisie matches exclusively in mainland China, according to a news report from Netease official website.
The deal has granted PPTV Sports the exclusive rights to show Dutch Eredivisie on all platforms, including TV, online and mobile.
Neither financial terms of the broadcast rights nor the total number of matches covered has been disclosed, but games of Philips Sports Union, AFC Ajax and Feyenoord Rotterdam in each round of Dutch Eredivisie for this season will be covered entirely by PPTV Sports, according to Netease.
In recent weeks, the IPTV operator has secured exclusive rights to La Liga for next five years from 2015 to 2020, while it has also established partnerships with UFC and Liverpool FC to show exclusive sports contents from the two properties.
Earlier in June, Dong Shuo, the director of sports media in PPTV, said PPTV Sports also has plans to go public.
