The 7th CISM World Military Games 2019 announced two new partnerships with two large-scale Chinese corporations, Yili Group and China Baowu Steel Group. The event will take place in Wuhan, China in October.

Yili Group signed a partnership with the World Military Games on August 7, becoming the Official Dairy Partner of the event. Two days after the signing ceremony, the World Military Games announced the partnership with China Baowu Steel on August 9, making the corporation the official partner in the iron and steel industry.

CISM World Military Games is reported to be the largest sporting event China will hold since the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, according to the event’s partnership release.

Yili Group is one of the leading companies in the Chinese dairy product industry. It is also the dairy partner of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games.

China Baowu Steel Group is the largest iron and steel manufacturer in China. In 2016, two of the leading Chinese iron and steel corporations, Shanghai Baosteel Group and Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp. merged and formed the China Baowu Steel Group. Baowu Steel Group is referred to as the aircraft carrier of China’s iron and steel sector. Its output of raw steel is said to be the world’s 2nd and ranks 1st domestically in China. Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp. which has become a subsidiary of the China Baowu Steel Group, shares geographic proximity with the World Military Games.

Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp. will provide Wugang Xian Huoji, a soda drink which has a 60-year history in Wuhan Iron and Steel, at the 2019 World Military Games as the designated carbonated beverage.

The World Military Games 2019 in Wuhan is given high priority by Chinese central government and Wuhan municipal government.
