The world governing body for basketball, the FIBA has signed a new Global Supplier, Unilumin. The partnership will last five years, covering events such as the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
The partnership announcement ceremony was held on Tuesday, August 6 in Shenzhen.
Unilumin is now the official provider of LED screens for FIBA events. During the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup, Unilumin will showcase Courtside LED Screens, Backstop LED and a range of other LED products in the arena in the hosting eight cities of the World Cup.
The two parties also plan to create a range of co-branded Unilumin/FIBA LED screens customised for basketball competitions. The screens are planned to be launched on the market in 2020.
Unilumin is a LED-screen and products manufacturer and solution provider. The company is based in Shenzhen, China and is reported to sell products around the world. It has had collaborations with the previous Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup and provides services to a variety of sports such as basketball, football, cricket, baseball, ice hockey, horse racing, swimming, volleyball, and tennis.
