The Chinese baijiu brand, LayMau has once again partnered with the governing body of the sport of badminton, becoming one of the Official Partners of BWF from 2018-2020, after previously sponsoring the 2018 BWF World Championships this summer.
LayMau is the first ever Chinese Mainland company to become a BWF Official Partner with the other two BWF Official Partners being TOTAL and HSBC.
The official announcement ceremony was held yesterday (December 10) at the Garden Hotel in the city of Guangzhou, where the 2018 HSBC BWF World Tour Finals will take place from December 12-16. The BWF Secretary General Thomas Lund, LayMau President Li Mingcan and other representatives attended the ceremony.
Under this new partnership, LayMau gains rights as an Official Partner of BWF and will also have marketing rights at other major BWF events.
Layman President Li Mingcan says that company will integrate this partnership into its brand development strategy. As a sub-brand of Moutai, LayMau has been positioned as one of the three Moutai group’s nationally strategic baijiu brands. In 2019, one of LayMau’s development targets is to build its brand. The partnership with BWF will naturally be integrated as part of its brand building efforts.
On the other hand, LayMau will commit itself to the development of national health and fitness by promoting badminton and participation in badminton, which meets the guidance of the Chinese government regarding developing and improving national health.
BWF Secretary General Thomas Lund commented that they believed LayMau has the ability and strength to promote the development of badminton and badminton culture in China.
