In the new 2018-2019 season, the CBA is going to post the latest competition updates and show fans more content about the league via their official Weibo account @CBA联赛. They will also build the league’s influence on Weibo by utilizing teams and players Weibo accounts. For the new season, CBA and Weibo will offer a series of interactive activities for Weibo users, such as match quizzes, live streaming and hongbao (red envelope) competitions, to provide a better experience to their followers and to further expand the reach of the league.
The General Manager of Business at CBA Company, Jiang Jian says that the collaboration with Weibo is a move to raise the level of the league’s brand building; it can help enhance the connection between the league and fans and can help attract more fans, especially the younger generation.
