Nike’s revenue from Greater China for the 2018 fiscal year more than USD5bn

Nike has disclosed their results for their 2018 fiscal year. According to the Beijing newspaper, Beijing Business Today, Nike’s business revenue in Greater China for the financial year is USD5.134bn, which is an 18% year-on-year growth if the currency exchange rate maintains parity. It is also the 16th consecutive season that Nike has achieved double-digit growth in the Greater China area. 

For the global market, Nike also achieved an overall increase of 6%, having a total revenue of USD36.397bn. 

Last year, Nike opened their largest Nike experience store in the Greater China region in Beijing’s Zhongguancun. It also joined forces with sportswear retailer Pou Sheng International to open the largest Jordan flagship store in Asia at the Beijing Shimao Tianjie. At the same time, Nike has not neglected their Chinese online channels. In August 2017, Nike ranked #1 in terms of sales quantity among all sportswear brands on Alibaba’s Tmall.com.
