China Mobile’s MIGU Gaming and Fengkuang.com to develop a football mobile game

By Andrea Huang Wednesday, 04 Jul 2018 17:43

MIGU Gaming has signed with Fengkuang.com to produce and promote the new football mobile game, Qiuchang Fengyun, during the sports festival/conference, MIGU Health & Fitness Festival #MWCS18, co-organized by MIGU in Shanghai from June 27 to 29.

MIGU Gaming (MIGU Interactive Entertainment) is a subsidiary of MIGU, providing games and online games on mobile phones and TV sets. As MIGU is the subsidiary of China Mobile, MIGU Gaming has the advantage of its big database of users compared with other gaming companies and platforms.

Currently, MIGU Gaming does not appear to have many sports related games on its platform, except the football game Football Master which has Messi, Ronaldo, Pogba and other stars on its cover sleeve.

However, in this World Cup year, MIGU Gaming wants to take advantage of the passion  for football to create a sports gaming trend.

Fengkuang.com is one of the most famous game developers in the Chinese sports world in recent years. They partnered with the Chinese Super League in August 2017, becoming the official senior gaming partner of the league from 2017 to 2022. Through this partnership, they have gained authorization to use the intellectual properties of the league and clubs in their games. They also hold the rights to distribute and operate CSL games around the world.

Apart from the CSL, they are also partners with many overseas gaming companies, such as SoccerManager, Fromthebench and TowerStudios.

With these different strengths on both sides, MIGU Gaming and Fengkuang.com will combine their advantages to promote the sports mobile game Qiuchang Fengyun. Specifically, MIGU Gaming will use China Mobile’s apps at provincial level and the numerous China Mobile physical stores across the country to promote this game.
