On March 27, the China Triathlon Sports Association (CTSA) signed a strategic deal with Huaxia Tongping Limited Company, which will see the two sides unveil a pilot project called the China Triathlon Sports Healthy City.
This deal aims to promote the development of the triathlon in Olympic Games, and the national fitness and sports industries. It also represents a new venture for CTSA to find support from society.
As the CTSA President Zhang Jian said, their focus is on the establishment of healthy cities in China, with the aim of expanding the sport to more than 300 cities and districts. In addition to this, the Association also has plans to exploit the value of event operations, athlete and professional training, sports complexes, triathlon clubs, research and development and standard sports equipment installation.
In the first stage of the agreement, the two sides plan to set up 6 pilot cities throughout China, including Ningbo, Suqian, Huichun and Jinggangshan.
Huaxia Tongping is a comprehensive financial service platform. Xu Ziping, President of Huaxia Tongping, said they will develop a “finance+sports+industry” model starting from their involvement in the Triathlon.
