On March 26, Beijing McDonald’s announced that it will provide financial support for the Chinese Super League (CSL) outfit, Beijing Sinobo Guoan F.C., in the club’s 2018 youth training plan.
Specifically, the fast-food chain has pledged to help the club by providing training equipment and meals for their Under 10, Under 11 and Under 12 age group teams. In the 2018 CSL season, the two sides will launch online and offline campaigns for their fans.
Starting from March 26, 222 McDonald’s locations in Beijing will promote co-branded interactions among customers. At the eve of Guoan’s first home game, McDonald’s Beijing stores will also launch a theme activity for fans, and when the number of participants reaches 3 million, three stores will re-decorated in commemoration.
In addition to this, if a customer buys designated meal combos during March 26 to April 8, they may be eligible to get a Guoan-branded fan card. Then if the team wins a game from March 31 to May 11, the customer with a fan card can get a medium coke for free the next day at any one of Beijing’s 222 restaurants.
