The Evergrande Football School (EFS) has recently established the Guangdong Hengshang Football Club Company Ltd. (Chinese: 广东恒上足球俱乐部有限公司).
This means the new club may compete in Chinese football leagues in the future. Li Benquan is the legal representative of the new company while the EFS is the only shareholder.
The EFS has now more than 20 age groups of young players while its Spain Campus has six age groups. Currently, the EFS team, mainly featuring players from the Spain Campus, has won all four matches in Guangdong Provincial Football League, ranking the first place in the eastern division of the league.
In other words, the team is likely to make its debut in the country’s fourth-tier league, the Chinese Football Association Member Association Champions League, this year.
The Guangdong Hengshang FC not only provides younger players with access to football events but also outstanding talents to the Guangzhou Evergrande FC. According to some news reports, Xu Jiayin, owner of Guangzhou Evergrande, aims to use all Chinese players in the Chinese Super League team in the future.
