The Chinese Football Association (CFA) released an official statement on Jan 29 regarding the share transfer of Shenzhen FC, who currently compete in China League One.
According to the statement, some shareholders are determined to transfer 27.5% of the club’s shares to Keyu Hotel Management (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd, a company held by Shenzhen FC’s title sponsor Kaisa Group. After this sale, Keyu will hold 90% of the shares of Shenzhen FC, which would make Kaisa Group the major shareholder of the club.
Recently, the shareholding structure of Shenzhen FC was adjusted earlier this month. According to a statement released by the CFA on Jan 17, Keyu had received shares from other Shenzhen FC shareholders, allowing the former to hold 62.5% shares of the club.
The remaining shares are held by Shenzhen MEGA Resources Group (27.5%) and Wan Hongwei (10%), a natural person shareholder of the club.
Founded in 1994, Shenzhen FC is a professional football club located in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, and one of the founding members of the Chinese Super League which was founded in 2004. Shenzhen FC were the first champions of the CSL but were relegated to the CL in 2011.
