Jiangsu Football Association (JSFA) has released a plan for developing football in Jiangsu Province by the end of 2020.
According to the plan, every city in the province will launch a municipal football league, which will see 100,000 football matches played per year in the province. Regarding football facilities, the plan also looks to have 7,200 football pitches in place and 2-3 football towns built in the province by 2020.
To engage more kids to play football, Jiangsu Province will authorize and support 2,500 schools with a football education curriculum, with hopes that no fewer than 100 schools will be able to develop outstanding football talent.
As to football participation, Jiangsu Province expects that over 5 million people will play football frequently, with 200,000 teenagers registering as football players. The total number of certified and qualified football coaches and referees is expected to reach over 4,500 and 2,000 respectively by 2020.
