With the Chinese Volleyball League (CVL) finishing its first phase on December 26, the new edition of the league has made some ground-breaking achievements. The CVL’s official commercial partner iRena disclosed these achievements at a press conference held in Beijing.

At the beginning of the press conference, iRena’s CEO Gao Hong made a brief presentation about the new breakthroughs the league had made. This year, the league engaged some high-profile brands to be its official partners, such as Bright Dairy, Peak Sports and Linglong Tyre.

Meanwhile, 8 media platforms have also joined forces with the CVL, enabling Chinese fans to have more ways to enjoy the games. As iRena introduced, the CVL drew in a viewership of over 256 million up to December 21, with 37 million users watching the game videos online. The opening game of the women’s league attracted a record-breaking 6 million users.

This year, iRena launched a live-streaming platform VTV for the league, with a camera focusing on some stars in the league. For example, in the match Shanghai VS Hebei  which took place on November 11, a camera was specially set up to focus on Kim Yeon-Koung, the Korean volleyball star who transferred to Shanghai Women’s Volley Club this year.

According to iRena, apart from the viewers of that game, another 80,000 users watched the live stream delivered by this camera.
