December 9: Shandong Luneng Football School has formed a partnership with Fútbol Club Jumilla, a Spanish football club playing in the Segunda División B – Group 4. In the future, the two sides will collaborate on developing professional football players, organizing overseas football training camps and football events, in order to support the youth training program in Luneng Football School.
Luneng Football School’s headmaster Tan Chaohui visited FC Jumillia in June of this year following which the school and the club agreed to make FC Jumillia an overseas training base for Luneng Football School.
Following a long-term player assessment, FC Jumillia have selected 3 players from Shandong Luneng’s U18 team, Yang Yilin, Chen Guoliang and Liaolei, as the first group of trainees to be sent to the club this year. Reportedly, FC Jumillia signed transfer agreements with these players during the summer, which will see these players join the club soon and play in the Spanish professional football league.
Since being founded in 1999, Shandong Luneng Football School has been the training base for Shandong Luneng Football Club’s reserve team. Fútbol Club Jumilla, founded in 1975 but reformed in 2011 is a Spanish football team based in Jumilla, in the autonomous community of Murcia.
