CITIC Guoan Group has become the strategic partner of Beijing Shougang, a women' table tennis team that competes under the China Table Tennis Super League (CTTSL).
This deal means that the team will be supported by the Shougang Group (title sponsor), Hua Xia Bank (major sponsor) and CITIC Guoan (strategic partner) for the new season.
The CTTSL team moved its home court from Beijing to Weishan Weishan County of Shandong province in the 2014 season, renaming itself as Weishan Lake Beijing Women’s Team. Under the supervision of the Beijing government, the team agreed to return to the Chinese capital city under the Shougang Group, investing about 10 million yuan.
CITIC Guoan is also the founder and shareholder of the Chinese Super League side in Beijing, Beijing Sinobo Guoan F.C. The Group also sponsored the Beijing fencing team and the Beijing badminton team this summer.
Fu Xiaodong, Sports Director of the Group said, “Most fans know us through our sponsorship in football. In the future, we have plans to make a comprehensive presence in basketball, badminton and table tennis.” At the same time, the Group will also create mass participation events, combining the sports sponsorships with its Guoan Community.
