With new changes taking place in the league, the 2017 Chinese Futsal Super League (CFSL) kicked off its 2017/2018 season in November and will finish on August 27, 2018.

For the new season, there will be a total of 90 games for the 10 teams. The fixtures will be divided into 18 rounds and each team will play against each opponent twice. The champions for this season’s CFSL will compete in the AFC Futsal Club Championships representing China.

What is new for this season, is that the CFSL have added an additional 45 fixtures to the season with these games being staged in 5 cities and 9 games being played in each. The 10 teams will play in these 45 games alongside the regular season 90 games. Reportedly, the CFSL believed that the change would enhance the appeal of the league and attract more people to watch the games.

Earlier this month, the Spanish sportswear company, Kelme, signed a deal with the CFSL who play under the Chinese Football Association becoming the official outfit partner of the league starting from the 2017-2018 season. The sports brand is expected to provide financial support as well as provide teamwear and equipment for the league’s referees and players.

Inaugurated in 2016, the CFSL is the top-tier professional futsal league in China and the only Chinese futsal league listed on the FIFA and AFC rosters.
